Title: Development of an Industrial Digital Twin: Challenges and Lessons Learned
Abstract:
Industrial Digital Twins are at the forefront of the digitalization of industry. These virtual replicas of physical production systems make it possible to optimize efficiencies, predict failures and facilitate quality decision-making.
This keynote will present the experience developing a Digital Twin for reshaping a manufacturing factory, with the objectives of improving quality, and reducing waste and energy consumption by testing and refining production lines in a risk-free digital environment. The presentation will focus on the implementation Challenges found, such as linking old and new manufacturing equipment, the pitfalls to avoid, and an analysis of the implementation efforts.
